In 2008, in the bustling city of Lahore, Pakistan, a young developer named Kashif Mukhtar witnessed firsthand the chaos plaguing educational institutions. Schools were drowning in paperwork, struggling with disconnected systems, and spending countless hours on administrative tasks that should have been automated.
The solution seemed obvious: create a comprehensive system that could handle everything from admissions to payroll in one unified platform. Undeterred, Kashif built the first version of what would become InstitutionKit — a standalone ERP system that revolutionized how schools managed their operations.
For over 17 years, that system evolved, adapted, and proved its worth. Schools grew into multi-campus institutions. Small academies became educational empires. And through it all, the core system remained reliable, powerful, and indispensable.
In 2025, InstitutionKit was reborn for the cloud era — rebuilt from the ground up on WordPress, combining nearly two decades of battle-tested functionality with modern technology. Today, it represents the perfect fusion of proven reliability and cutting-edge innovation.

With over 17 years of experience in educational technology, Kashif Mukhtar has dedicated his career to solving the complex challenges faced by educational institutions. A BCS (Hons.) graduate specializing in Web Development & Programming, Kashif combines deep technical expertise with an intimate understanding of educational administration.
His journey began in 2008 when he witnessed the administrative chaos in schools firsthand. Rather than accepting this as "the way things are," he built a solution. That solution evolved into InstitutionKit — a platform that has transformed hundreds of institutions and managed the education of over 100,000 students.
